How can I find the right career for me?

I don't really know what I want to do. I'm not sure what to major in. I want to find something that I'm passionate about, but that's the hard part.

Start with identifying your values. What do you value? What do you believe? From there you can begin to reflect on careers that you would be passionate about. For example; "I value generosity." Then reflect on what career choices highlight generosity in some way. I think you find your self more satisfied in doing something you value.

Do you have any hobbies that you enjoy? Finding the right career for you is all about finding something that you enjoy doing. Sometimes we look at our hobbies as something we just do for fun without taking into consideration the many career opportunities there may be in relation to it. Also, what subjects were you good at in school? We tend to enjoy doing things we're good at because it gives us a sense of accomplishment. I think those two things are very important to look at when deciding about a life long career.

What would you do for FREE if you could? What would you do every day day in and day out without needing any motivation to do so? Whatever that is... that is what you major in! What keeps you awake at night day dreaming about?
