You might be interested to know that the type of lawyer you describe is a litigator and they primarily work in the court system. However, there are other types of lawyers who are transactional lawyers. They primarily work with businesses doing contracts and negotiations. They almost never go to court and the people they are involved with are neither innocent or guilty. They simply want to be advised of their best legal options when transacting a business deal. I hope this helps to give you some other options in law to think about.
