I would suggest you confirm with the licensing requirements for your particular state because they may vary a bit. Typically it's 120 hours then you sit for the national exam. It's a great question to ask as you research EMT programs in your state - "Are you an accredited program?" If the answer is "no" please continue to search/ research until you find one that can show and prove they are accredited in your state. Best of luck to you!
