I AM 40 YRS OLD AND WITH EVER GROWING MAL HEALTH CHANGES. I HAVE BEEN A MEDICAL ASSISTANT FOR 13 YEARS AND FEEL I CAN NO LONGER BE ON THE FLOOR. IT IS REALLY PHYSICALLY DEMANDING AND HARDER ON MY BODY EVERY YEAR. I FEEL CONFIDENT WITH THE EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND MEDICAL SKILLS TO MANAGE A MEDICAL PRACTICE. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO START? HOW DO I GO ABOUT UPGRADING INTO MANAGEMENT? WHAT COLLEGES WOULD BE BEST FOR ME? WHAT KIND OF DEGREE DO I NEED?

It's a plus to have those skills but managing a practice requires business and leadership skills. I'm no expert so if I were you I would talk to practitioners either seeking an office manager or have had office managers in the past. Also your local colleges would certainly have better and more useful information than I do.
