First, be sure you have met all the requirements for your medical school applications: required courses, MCATs, and extracurricular/leadership activities.

To gain more experience in the medical field you have a few options. You can find a doctor to shadow, which will let you see what their life is like (plus you can usually get a great letter of rec out of it). You can also look into volunteering either at a hospital or in a student run health clinic. Student run clinics are amazing for getting hands-on experience, and the patients tend to have some pretty neat pathology. You can also look into a medical mission trip, where you'll get to travel and get to see a lot.
