There is so much to be done in medicine. You can find what really excites you and excel.

Those interested in straight science can have a profound impact on peoples' lives by learning biomedical engineering. There is terrific growth in pursuing things that work better for the body (human and animal). In the military, you can be a medic and perhaps continue training to be a paramedic, nurse, physician's assistant or physician, etc. In hospitals, you can volunteer to see what being involved in medical care can be like. I particularly enjoyed doing that!

Try to experience these things in your community and make friends with people at your stage of life to see what they are planning for their futures.
