Labs are an amazing place to work, and offer a number of opportunities depending on how much training you have/want to get.
This is a site that I love, it should provide you a little bit more information about different labs involved in health care and hopefully give you some ideas of things you might want to look into: http://www.labsciencecareers.com/clinical-lab-careers-pages-33.php
Working in a lab can be very interesting but all can be very dull and monotonous. It all depends on what you find interesting and fun. Throughout college I was a microbiology lab assistant; I absolutely loved the jobs and learned a ton of things. This job consisted of culturing bacteria and learning and researching different microbes. I don't know much about being in the lab besides this one experience. But if you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will definetly see if I can get an answer for you .
