To become a plastic surgeon, you would need to obtain a bachelor's degree, be accepted and graduate from medical school, then be selected for and complete a residency in plastic surgery. The best major you could choose for your undergraduate bachelor degree would be a degree that is demanding, relatable to medicine, and increases your chances for acceptance to medical school all while finishing the prerequisites for that med school (these are unique for the school and listed on their websites). A major in pre-med is the usual route, but not necessary as long as the prerequisites are complete (other science-based majors like biology are commonly used). Acceptance in to medical school also relies on overall GPA, MCAT scores, community service, essay quality, letters of reference, and performance on interviews.
