Start studying now for the ASVAB...it will determine what jobs become available to you. Also, go in "Guaranteed Placement" where you know the job ahead of time and they give you a contract guaranteeing that's what you'll do (it will keep you from getting crap jobs). Get your go into ROTC, you earn more money when you first enlist...or better yet, go through a college ROTC, get your college paid for, and go in as an officer with higher pay, better jobs, and more respect.

Try to get a position with a signal MOS or one that requires a top secret clearance if they available. They are very hard to come by but this should be your first choice. Your ASVAB score will determine if you even apply for one of these positions firstly.
Good luck
