Make a Wish is a good organization, however I believe the number of jobs is somewhat limited. First see if there is a make a wish foundation in your area. If so contact them to see opportunities. If not, you could consider doing your own small make a wish foundation in your own community. Because you do not have the resources that the parent group does, you would have to keep the wishes simple. Consider starting with a local hospital and working with staff on a kids floor. Simple wishes could be a visit of a pet, an outdoor birthday party, etc. Their condition and health status will define what you may or may not do. If you do something like this for a few months, it may pave the way for a more permanent position with an organization. One last idea, Google this because there are other wish foundations also. Good luck.

I would do research on these foundations and see if they have any volunteer opportunities. Volunteering is a way of getting involved in organizations such as these. When you say you want to work with small children, in what capacity do you mean?
