I also have a BA in psychology, and I'm currently working as a supervisor of several different mental health programs. I've been fortunate enough to get several opportunities to grow within the mental health field, but right now, the public mental health system is focusing on hiring more bachelor level employees to work with clients. Focus on social rehabilitative counseling has increased in the mental health field over the recent years, so your chances of landing such a job is pretty good at the moment. I'm not sure where you are located, but different cities/states have more/less focus on hiring such candidates, but your chances are good in landing a full-time job working in the mental health field. Out here in the bay area of California, BA level employees starting out in the mental health field can expect to earn about $35-45k/year in non-profit agencies, if you don't have a lot of previous experience. With more experience, the figure obviously will increase. Good luck!
