If your GPA is lower than 3.0 you will definitely want a perfect GRE and to have a relationship with the professor you want to study under. It depends what field you want to go into, some are more competitive than others. Somewhat ironically, STEM tends to be less competitive and have lower entrance requirements than humanities fields. (obviously it will vary by school).

Hi, the required GPA for graduate studies is 3;00. But depending on your long work experience, I am certain if you are wishing to pursue your mater in such a area, I strongly believed you will do better. I always encouraged people to stay optimistic rather than been pessimistic. Go for it, and realize your dream. Every successful person is a determine person. I hope this helps. If you have any concerns or comments, please let me know.
