Word of mouth is always a good option, in addition to previous answers. Depending on your major, reach out to friends, relatives, and neighbors in those fields. I researched different organizations in my area that were related to the field I was interested in, and found contact information for them. Some were not interested in interns, others were more than happy to oblige, or pass my information along to others. Your professors and school should provide support for internships. Put yourself out there and ask around. The worse thing they can do is tell you no.

Happy hunting!

Talk to professors in the classes you are taking/have taken that relate closely to the field. Many professors used to work in the industry or at the very least are well connected and can point you in the right direction. Good luck! :)
