As a pharmaceutical technician, will there be an opportunity to branch out or move upwards in the field? Can knowledge and skills be transferred elsewhere?
I am considering schooling for this position, versus becoming a medical lab technician.

My son-in-law is currently in pharmacy school and works as a lab tech in a pharmacy. Upon completing his degree as a doctor of pharmacology, he will earn $125,000 as a starting salary. Of course, much of this depends upon the area in which you live (or plan to live).
Take time to locate people doing the career you'd like to pursue and interview them. It is also important to do internships in the field of interest. There are so many aspects to consider for each career, so ensure you are informed. This is a good place to start, but hands-on experience will be your best bet.
