The hours for a Pharmacist are actually a lot less demanding than those of a surgeon or pretty much any other kind of doctor, which drew my attention towards this field in the first place.

I shadowed a Pharmacist working at a local Pharmacy, and he said his hours vary, but he never works more than 8 hours a day. He usually works about half a day, and has some weekends off, depending on what times the other pharmacist is assigned.

As for a pharmacist technician, their hours can become demanding if they work full-time. Their workload is also greater, for they are the ones actually preparing prescriptions for doctor's to fill and do all of the tiring work the pharmacist doesn't need to. However, the pay is greater than flipping burgers.
