Start by taking the basic course needed for your license. Then take the state exam. After that, take note of all the yard for sale signs you see and call the companies with the most active listings. Real estate firms are ALWAYS looking for new agents because they either get a split of every commission you earn or they get paid a low monthly fee for holding your license. Shop around and tour their offices to see which ones you like best. After you've selected where you want to work, ask if they'll help you work on rentals, not just sales. Doing this will allow you to earn smaller paychecks to sustain yourself while working to get buyers and listings.
