You do not need to major in real estate in college to become a real estate agent. I recommend that you major in business with an emphasis in finance. This will give you the flexibility you need in case you change your mind later. While in business school, you'll pick up working knowledge of business law. Once you have the law foundation in place, it's very easy to pick up real estate law on your own. You can do whatever you want with a finance degree, whether is real estate, commercial real estate, investing, or corporate finance.
