The great thing about technology is that when you talk about it as an industry or career field, you have an incredibly wide range of interests and kinds of jobs. You might be interested in writing your own mobile apps, beautifying web pages with better user design, computer animation, game development, or using any of those tech skills to help out the organizations you really like! And that doesn't even touch the multitude of research areas you can get involved in academically or through private companies!

If you have a passion for tech, try to define it. Programming? Hardware? Mobile? Web? Then learn more about it! You can take free courses online, find many tutorials on a multitude of tech blogs, or even watch entire YouTube channels dedicated to these topics. Does your interest persist? Try to find out about companies and people who do the thing you want to do. Some of those same blogs and channels can give you a good idea of what the day-to-day life of these professionals are.

The only way to find out if a tech career is right for you is to learn as much as you can and try doing the things that career would have you do!
