I love working with a team and working with computers. My problem is, I don't really like the typical "computer programmer" demographic. I also don't want to just sit in a chair all day. I'd like to work with in depth with computers in some way, but don't want to be chair locked with nerds. Any tips?

You're not alone. there's tons of work in computers that either isn't traditionally nerdy or fits the culture you want. my advice is to pick a secondary interest and follow that first and foremost and secondly find a way that they apply computers. you might really like sports, so find a group like ESPN or NBA and they'll do plenty of computer-type things that run the gamut from games to data to design to hardware and embedded systems to data warehousing.
