I'm curious about the difference between getting a B.A. in computer science and a B.S. in computer Science. I understand the B.A. has less mathematics but how do the degrees translate to jobs in the work force? Will I get similar programming training? Can I be hired for similar jobs? Pay differences? I'm very adept at communication and have written for my college's paper for two years now. I also have experience in broadcast and a little coding. Could a B.A. be right for me?

If you want to be a programmer then BS is what you need. It will provide you with the fundamental of programming designs and concepts PLUS some programming language skills.
BA in computer science is for people who wants to get into IT, consulting, analysis or operations. Mostly using lots of software applications and tools and working with computer systems on a daily basis. You will not go down to the lower level how to create each application or tool using programming language.
In my experience, if one is looking at a programming/coding job, companies are not making distinctions between this two. Yes you will get hired for same job and hence same kind of training in most cases.
Here to be clear, i am not answering about difference between this two courses or suggesting which one is better.
