You're right that there is not a lot of stability in a strength sports unless you are a top sponsored athlete, but that doesn't mean you have to give up pursuing a career in the field. Are you interested in health & nutrition? Could you see yourself as a Personal Trainer or Nutritionist and then compete in body building at the same time? My husband competed at the amateur level for World's Strongest Man while he went to school for Kinesiology and Nutrition at ASU. He then landed himself a job as a Personal Trainer and continued competing in Strongman as a hobby.
