I personally believe it is okay to take your time to decide what route you want to set your life in. My two cents trying to help:
1 - Do not stress out about the fact that time passes. Take your time and be cool about procrastinating on such an important decision.
2 - Have you considered pursuing both vocations? Example: start dentist classes as a main pursuit to get a profession and earn a good living helping people while doing some fashion courses online on Saturdays as a hobby to see where it takes you (or viceversa, or any combo that works time and money wise)
Good luck

I would ask you where do you see yourself in one year? Five years? Ten years? Medical and dental careers require more than just being patient and compassionate, would not like to add to your angst, have you considered nursing? Even nursing requires some technological skills. About clothes and fashion, is it just an interest? Or, is it a passion? What about clothes and fashion that draws you to them? Designing? Merchandising, sales, marketing? Production? Visual presentation, styling? Public relations, fashion journalist? I am sure that there is other types of fashion career out there. Have you looked into that? I think you are looking at things from a very general position. You need now to fine tune your vision. Again, visualize yourself in one year, five years, ten years. Maybe you can write it out, the more details you can put down on paper the better. I hope this helps some what. Good luck on trying to figure it all out. To make you feel better, I am always reinventing myself, and find myself now at 51 years of age, and being an empty nester trying to figure what I want to be when I 'grow up'. Sorry to put a downer on this post. Just be reassured that nothing is set in stone, you can always change your mind. Volunteer like me in some of these industries. Like I am and get a feel for what drives you, what you HAVE to do. Good luck, again.
