There are plenty of majors that might be of interest: anthropology, history, international relations, to mention a few. Because there is so much to know and so many places to travel, I'd say it doesn't matter that much what major you choose if you want to work in a field like that (at least commercially... if you want to teach or do research, it's very important to pick the major that leads to your next step). I settled on International Relations as a major after getting a catalog of every single major and course my university offered, then I just narrowed it down to what I thought I'd learn the most from and find most interesting.
