I am 25 and come from an impoverished family that is unable to financially help with either college costs or cost of living. I work full time, and my husband was just let go after his company downsized. I'm looking into going to college but my GPA was a 1.66 which disqualifies me from most scholarships. Any financial advice?

Attend a community college first. The Pell grant is enough to cover your tuition & books. Loans are available but remember you have to pay that back! Once your GPA is up, apply for scholarships. Visit with an academic advisor for educational planning.
Start out at a local community college and apply for grants that are income based.
Yes you can apply for private loans at your local banks.
